NCTF 2015 Season-In-Review Slideshow
2015 SEASON BRINGS TWO NEW SCHOOL RECORDS!Senior Nick McGaughey beat his own 2014 record for the most points scored in a single season by racking up 172 points in 2015. Right on his heels was fellow senior and pal Will Ballard, whose 168 points this season would've been the new record. The boys still have a way to go to catch the overall top-point scorer, as Kayla Moore's 2013 record of 202 points is going to be awful hard to beat! |
Freshman Marly Walls smashes a nearly 10-year-old school record in the 300 hurdles at this season's state meet! Her 49.69 put her at the medal podium and places her in the state top-10 going into next season. |
HUNGRY? High Jump medalist Kira H, 100M Hurdle medalist Marly W, High Jump & 300M Hurdle dual-medalist Nick M, and 1600M & 3200M dual-medalist Will B all make sure the KHSAA isn't trying to save a few on medals after the 2015 State Championship meet.

NCXCTF shows its appreciation for the support of the Nelson County School Board
RENOVATED CARDINAL STADIUM

Above: Coach Bradley presents signed team photos to school board members Frank Hall, Larry Pate, Chairman Damon Jackey, Superintendent Anthony Orr, and Nicky Rapier. (Former NCXCTF booster and board member Adam Wheatley could not attend.)
Nelson County High School Cross Country and Track & Field Coach Dan Bradley presented at the June 19 meeting of the Nelson County School Board to express the team's appreciation for recent renovations to the school's athletic facilities.
After presenting the season-in-review movie from the team's recent awards banquet, Bradley took the podium to share with the board his plans for a number of home events in the 2013 Track & Field season. Many of these events are detailed lower on this webpage.
Although the school's new 8-lane rubberized track will be officially dedicated with a ribbon "breaking" at the upcoming Ndurance Labor Day 5K, Bradley wanted express his thanks to the board for their support, both in new facilities and equipment. "We've been supported in every way," Bradley said.
"I've been coaching Track & Field here since 1995, and we've never really had a track. Not one to compete on, at least. It was a long time to wait, but this is really a dream come true."
